Happy Mothers Day

When I think of Mothers Day I think of the ultimate pampering, being weighted on hand and foot, you name it that is my ultimate Mothers Day. I have yet to enjoy that yet. My morning started out by telling the kids can you please not fight its Mothers Day or stop making a mess its Mothers Day. I am sure you get what I am saying. Well lets just say the kids could care less. GUILT did not work on them. I have to say though they were pretty good in church. The primary kids sang for the Mothers. We are in a Branch so there are only about 14 kids. 4 boys and 10 girls. So as the kids were singing away my sweet, tender 8 year old is standing up there acting too cocky to sing and chomping on his gum.... I am sure everyone noticed when he came and sat down and I told him to go throw away his gum. He relentlessly spit his gum in the program and sat down. Remember how at his 3rd grade Program the kids belted out the music but when it comes to singing in church he prefers gum chomping. After Relief Society all the kids ran looking for their mothers to give them their presents they had made. The were Hershey's Chocolate Bars, but they made their own wrappers that said Happy Mothers Day. I got the cover from Londyn, an actual chocolate bar from Brick, and Jonah scratched out the Happy Mothers Day and instead put Happy Fathers day.. I should probable say even though that sounds really mean people who know me know that I don't do Chocolate, because it gives me Migraines. So Jonah was kind enough to give William an early Fathers Day Present.. I used the phrase IT's Mothers day a few more times, but they just didn't care.
**My Mom has taught me so many things in my life, she has always been an example of countless service, perserverence through her many trials in life, and lots of love. Those who know my mom know that if you need anything done you go to Judy. She may not be able to drive, but she sure can use that phone. Over the past 6 years she has been doing a program in the community called Moms off Meth. I am pretty sure she has written a letter for so many people in that group to get them a job or send a note to the judge telling him how well they are doing. She not only serves her family, but she serves her community as well. Whenever we go to church with my parents we have to make sure we get there soon enough because my mom has adopted so many kids in the ward that they are now calling her Oma. If we don't get there on time we usually are not sitting with them. She is always concerned about others and how to best help them..Thanks for Being a great MOM and OMA!!!
**Another special woman in my life is my Mother-in-law. She is always so giving, she cares about others feeling, she loves each and every one of her children and grandchildren. She is creative, frugal, loving. She is always quick to forgive..I have to say I am pretty blessed to have Karlee as my mother-in-law. She and Ronald raised William in a way that he has a strong testimony of this gospel, he loves his Savior, He treats me with respect, and loves his children. By Karlee's example I would not have the husband I have today. THANKS!!! WE LOVE YOU!!
I have many other women in my life that I look up to, learn from, cry with, laugh with, and most of all love. I have been blessed with all these women in my life to help me grow and be a happy Michie. I was always taught that people learn by example, and I have to say I have learned that from my sister, Sister-in-laws, should be sister-in-laws, friends, and family. I have truly been blessed with so many influential women in my life. I can only hope that I can be as influential as these wonderful women.. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY AND FUTURE MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!!!
